Our self-service machines allow you to borrow and return Library books without needing to queue.

Follow the instructions on the touch screen, and remember to take your receipt when you have finished.

When returning books at the Paul Hamlyn Library (St. Mary's Road campus), please put them through the 'Book Returns' sorter machine on the ground floor. You can print a receipt as proof of return.

To return at the Reading site, please discharge books on the self-returns machine and then place them in the specified bin as instructed on-screen.

You will need your UWL ID card to take books out, but you don’t need it to return them.

Books can be returned at any site and other locations, such as our book return bins in the Students' Union and on the ground floor of Paragon House.
